The growth potential of the agribusiness industry is creating community optimism to open new markets, producing jobs and developing new technologies.

At this event Agribusiness Australia’s Chair, Mark Allison and CEO, Tim Burrow will clearly articulate where the industry is at, where it has come from and propose how well and long we can ride this wave of the golden era.

Mark Allison was appointed as MD and CEO of Elders Limited in April 2014 and prior to that held the position of Executive Chairman and Chairman.

After completing an Agriculture Science Degree and an Economics Degree at the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Management from Central Queensland University, he then went on to establish a 30-year career in the industry, starting as a research agronomist in the Darling Downs/Lockyer Valley horticultural region before running a suite of agribusinesses, serving as Managing Director of CropCare Australasia, Wesfarmers CSBP, Wesfarmers Landmark, Farmoz, and Grain Growers Limited. He then joined the Elders Board as a Non-Executive Director.

In addition to his agribusiness executive career he has held numerous non-executive director roles in private, government and industry organisations.

Tim’s skills and experience include some 30 years of experience across the Agribusiness sector of Australia & NZ including a number of senior management positions within The Emerald Group of Companies, Chemtura & Monsanto. His career is notable for his significant involvement in the establishment of a number of now every day cultural practises including returnable Ag Chemical containers, minimum tillage practise and on farm seed processing. Prior to becoming CEO he was a Director of Agribusiness Australia
